At United Martial Arts (UMAC), we believe every child has the potential to become confident, focused, and resilient. Our Children’s Martial Arts Program is designed to help students ages 7 to 12 develop not only physical strength but the emotional and mental tools they need to succeed in school, in friendships, and in life.
This program goes far beyond kicks and punches. We teach focus, discipline, respect, and the belief that effort creates growth. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about showing up, trying your best, and building habits that last a lifetime.
“We teach more than martial arts,” says Master David Torres, UMAC’s owner and head instructor.
“We help kids build the mindset and the character to become the best version of themselves.”
Whether your child needs help focusing, struggles with self-confidence, or just needs a structured outlet to move and grow, our program is here to support them.

Our structured curriculum helps children:
These aren’t just martial arts skills. They are life skills that will help your child navigate challenges in school, social settings, and at home.
“I always tell parents, I’m not here to just teach martial arts,” Master David says. “I’m here to create a bond with each child, to help them grow into someone they’re proud of.”
No two kids are the same, and that’s exactly how we teach. Whether your child is outgoing or shy, a quick learner or someone who needs extra support, our instructors are trained to adapt their teaching style to fit each student’s needs.
We meet kids where they are and help them discover what they’re capable of. For many of our students, this program becomes a turning point in their growth and confidence.
We’ve helped hundreds of children in Fort Myers and surrounding areas find their voice, improve their behavior, and thrive in and out of school. Let us do the same for your child.
Give your child the gift of confidence, focus, and belonging—through martial arts that make a difference.
